1. Who we are
Air Mission Assist is an independent publisher of travel disruption guides. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this website. If you have a question about anything below, contact us through the contact page.
We are the data controller for the information described here. We do not sell personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles of visitors.
2. Information we collect
We collect as little as possible. There are no user accounts on this site and you can read every guide without identifying yourself.
- Messages you send us through the contact form, including your name, email address, chosen topic and the content of your message.
- Reviews you choose to submit for publication, which we publish with a first name only.
- Standard technical information created whenever a browser requests a page, such as IP address, user agent, referring page and timestamps.
- Aggregated, non identifying usage statistics that tell us which guides are read most, so we know what to improve.
3. Why we use it
Contact form data is used only to answer you, to correct or improve a guide, or to publish a review you asked us to publish. Technical data is used to keep the site available, secure and fast, and to diagnose faults.
We do not use your message to send marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.
4. Legal bases
Where data protection law applies to you, we rely on the following bases: your consent, when you submit a review for publication; our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and in operating a secure, functional website; and compliance with legal obligations where we are required to retain or disclose information.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time by contacting us, and we will remove the published content.
5. Retention
Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and for a reasonable period afterwards for reference, then deleted. Published reviews remain until you ask us to remove them. Server logs are kept for a short technical period and then rotated out.
6. Sharing and processors
We use third party service providers to host the website, deliver images and measure aggregate traffic. These providers process data on our instructions and may store it on infrastructure located in other countries, protected by appropriate safeguards.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to prevent misuse of the site. Otherwise we do not share your information with anyone.
7. External links and images
Our guides link to airlines, airports, insurers, embassies and other third parties. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which we do not control. Photography on this site is served from a third party image provider, which receives the technical request data needed to deliver the image.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive a copy in a portable format. You may also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the contact page and describe what you need. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
9. Children
This site is intended for adults planning or undertaking travel. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site develops or as legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be described here rather than applied silently.
